    The day before I saw it, as I was driving the last leg of the trip out to Kansas City, I was telling my wife "I'd seriously trade several of my cooler razors for that gigantic T. Ascher from Lummus' collection. I think Robert Doyle has it."

    So I didn't even think about the price. Just instantly hit the BIN... And I am normally a total cheapskate. That was double what I've paid for any other single-razor. I doubt I'll get another Ascher, so I might as well have dropped a stack to get that one.

    Now if you can find me an 1822 Thomas Scargill in tortoise scales with an original double-thumb notch and a blade etching with Ebenezer Rhodes' name crossed out, I'll pay anything you ask!
