What awesome parents I have. Dad told me he paid $100 for this. I told him I MIGHT have paid that much for it. No, I would have. .

My wife asked "how many razors do you need"? I made a huge mistake and said 7, one for each day of the week. I should have said 31!!!

Steve I haven't had the chance to try it out yet, but I will say that when holding the wood in my hand it is very very well made and worth every penny. Someone is going to be bidding on it on Future-Bay about 100 years from now. The magnetic backing on the leather and felt holds really well. It's not often that I find fine craftsmanship any more, and when I do it pleases me.

    That's awesome to hear.
    Thanks for the quick highlights.

    Edited to add:

Just ordered this modular strop and some Mitchell's Wool Fat.

My wife and I don't do the gift thing lol... killjoys that we are .

    BUT:

We took the kids to Great Wolf Lodge (indoor water park in Kansas City, Kansas) for a two night, three day bonanza lol! Great times!!

    AND:

The terrible thing is... Great Wolf Lodge is next door to Cabela's! We might have gone for lunch (don't get the bison burger), and uh, might have got some other... "necessity's."

    Good times!

No razor stuff - still trying to whittle down what I have - must be tough hey?
