Default Joseph Elliot Masonic Cut Throat Razor

Hey y'all. I just purchased another Masonic razor. I think this is my 1st Joseph Elliot Masonic. Wullie started a thread recently for Masonic razors so I will have alot of work to do when all of them come in. The etching looks great. It looks to be 5/8 - 7/8. There seems to be a little hone wear on the top. Use tape people...lol This razor probably dates before 1856 since....
By 1856, Joseph had been joined by his eldest son, Joseph Edwin Elliot (1829-1899), and the firm was restyled Joseph Elliot & Son.
    (Thank you Manah)

Here's what Ebay UK had to say:
Vintage Masonic Cut Throat Razor..... made by Joseph Elliot from the "best silver steel"..... lovely etchings of all the Masonic emblems... one hole on the scales that hinges the razor has stress marks on it (the front side)... no nicks on the blade, which is very sharp!! ........ One picture shows this with other Masonic items, they are all listed separately...

    Have fun everyone.
The new year will be the best ever...except for those bidding against me..lol

    Very nice score!
I dunno if I'd be so confident there on the Bay, my friend. I've got a deep pocket or three...of course, I'm not "connected." The Michigan Mafia took a powder after Hoffa disappeared.

I didn't even know there was Mafia out there. Yeah I've been cleaning up while you were...Ahum away. I will kindly return the reigns. Here is your tribute, I have kept up with your numbers racket and your bookies are still in order. I delivered your messages to Paulie..he says it's time to go to the mattresses while we wait for more razors

I don't know if this is the same seller that redid an etch in gold on another recent razor, but the etching looks to be on top of the hone wear.
I saw it and decided it looked to be too good to be true.

I hope I am wrong but there seems to be a lot of "masonic" razors on the bay these days.

Thank you. Something that I'm not sure that I would look for in a net purchase. And something that would usually be had to see. Might be a topic we could cover later.
