Thread: 6/8+ Mappin Brothers Lancet Edge Razor

Nice. I had thought about picking the one up off the classifieds but I chose a different blade.

No tears, no scotch, no hones, but what the hell are you doing, cheetah? Yep. That one's pitty and the blade etching is gone. Musta been really rusted at some point. The end seems to protrude more than most. At the price paid, it IS a Lancet Edge! Shave with it, Cheetah! Let me know how it performs!

I was looking at the pix and wondering if that razor was designed as a shaver and a blood letting tool ? Seriously. The end looks like a Fleam.

i saw one on ebay a bit ago , that the seller said the tip was broke off ...lol... i lost track of it and never did see what it went for .. ...

I had thought about that as well, Jimmy. Is not Lancet another term used for a Fleam? This might have been the all-in-one for an old time barber who cut hair, shaved, and bled ya! Common thing in the day, I understand. Cheetah's has a longer "lancet" than mine, or his spine has been ground back. Also, his has a definite "point" on it!

Ah Sharpie! These must be the instruments that ye must duel with me twith. Don ye white gloves and pick up ye musket. Step 20 paces and prepare t be gutted with me Lancet. Then I kick ye into the well (again) screaming

Patch knife?? used to cut a patch
for a round ball when loading a
muzzleloading rifle.

I searched Youtube but in all the
videos everyone was using precut
patches.

Duels in Texas are not always as fairly decided as in your "Sparta"! A loser here will not spoil the well, but shall be staked down on a bed of fire ants.

I love my Lancet. Good luck with yours, they really are beautiful shavers.
