That looks very nice!! As far as the finish goes, if you like it, that's all that matters. If you decide to "knock the shine down", you will want to wait for a few days after the varnish has dried to make sure the varnish has cured. If not you will see some scratching. Be sure to use #0000 steel wool and light pressure.

I'm sure it doesn't look as heavy as it is, its a pretty thick piece of bloodwood. Im moving in about 2 1/2 months so I'm going to wait to hang it till we move into the new place as ill have to put it into a stud just in case. The whole earthquake thing in CA. figure take a precaution, as id hate to see it ruined.

Looks great and I bet it will last forever. You just need some little brass plates that say Monday, Tuesday, etc.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

I think you did a fine job, as others mentions the finish of the wood with high gloss, that personal preference.

That is a thing of beauty.
Shaving with facial hair is like a golfcourse. It's a challenge of rough and fairways. You are the skilled greenskeeper of your face?

Well there are only 6 shelves so I guess I could put on the 7th day the man didnt shave. There are just too many products out to make a firm decision on for the week. I need to try all of them. i think Tabac will be my next one to order.
