Boots the Chemist 2" razor
An unusual 11/16" razor Sheffield made For Boots Chemist UK
The blade is only 2" long but unlike moustache razors the scales are normal size & the length is made up with a long tang
I have used it & it definitely is easy to use, the blade being not much wider than a safety razor.
I think this is what they were aiming at? Only one I have seen!

Thanked: 22Wow! I love it! I shave with mustache razors myself. Having a wrap around beard, with mustache that drops down at the corners of my mouth to meet it, smaller razors are so much easier to manuever. Larger razors are just always getting in trouble, at whichever end I am not concentrating on. But, I have never seen one quite like this. Usually more like the mab below. Will be much like a regular razor, but shorter, with shorter scales, and possible narrower blade. Tell me more, please.

Very unique, Tony!
It would be interesting to try, for certain!
Thanks for sharing it!"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.

Thanked: 3164And another one, Tony!
Definitely not a corn razor. Here's a web gallery of corn razors, some with longish tangs, but nothing like that Boots razor!

Thanked: 3228Very interesting razor and I like the concept. I have always thought that having a cutting edge as long as on a normal straight was a bit of a waste of metal. There are very few spots, if any, on my face that I can get full length contact on with the cutting edge of a straight. Good to hear it actually works well in practice.

Thanked: 3164Hi Tony,
No, not mine - it belongs to a guy on TSR forum. I haven't used one, but I have used a cut down Puma and a cut down Bengall and agree that the control is pretty good.

Neil
