YES, a little too much pressure and a BIG OOPS!

Talking to you guys has made my mind numbing headache go away, I have actually laughed a bit about it and have gotten a GOOD idea to put the tang onto my key chain.
That way if I ever get smug, I can look at my key chain and remember...... LOL

You could grind the edge for a little pocket flathead, paint/polish can opener, attach it to some firesteel as a sparker (high carbon steel ),

Still have all your fingers and all facial features so that's a plus. Like said it would make a good key chain piece. I'm with the rest I learn better doing and screwing up so I can learn from my mistakes. Though I feel for you as she was a looker. I can definately agree with you this site gas a way of making you feel better, just such great people. Maybe it was meant to be and you'll stumble on a gem in the very near future, I want to know if you do.
    Respectfully,

Thanks, but it's not the positive thinking; it's because my house is full of broken things.

I say just grab the J-B Weld and some clamps and you should be good to go in a day or so. Man, that sucks.
