Thanked: 3224Allegro SE blade honer & original Williams shave stick & holder
Couldn't resist the Allegro SE blade sharpener as an interesting curiosity piece. It came complete with an instruction sheet so if on the off chance anyone needs one for theirs PM me for a copy. It apparently came in two versions, one for SE blades and one for DE blades. Mine will get a tryout on my SE razor. They also had optional honing sets.
Was looking to pick up old shave stick holders for some new shave sticks that came without them. Found this original Williams shave stick holder complete with unused shave stick. Going to pitch the original shave stick and re purpose it with a new one.

Thanked: 3224OK Pixie you won, tried palm lathering the old Williams using a cheap Omega boar brush and cold water. I dunno what the ingredients were but the paper wrapper was saturated with grease, probably water proof by now. Did it lather, you bet. I will say the lather felt slipperier than snot and fairly thick. Scent was strictly old fashioned barber shop and it hangs on for a bit too, can still smell it on my hand 1/2 hour later. Considering it might have lost a little bit of zip in that lather and scent departments over all these years it still looks like it is way ahead of today's Williams soap. Considering using it in the morning and partying like it was the mid 20th century again.
