    Default New Revisor

A box was delivered to my office today. And in it was this brand new Revisor 7/8. I have not yet had the chance to take it for a spin but it sure looks like a winner. The bevel is nice and even so I feel good that it's ground evenly. As you may suspect, it closes dead center. It may even have a shareable edge but that's yet to be tested. There were many other razors every bit as nice and many were much more visually appealing. But this one was bought for function and it had the characteristics I was looking for - 7/8 blade, square tip. I have a lot of hope for this one. Can't wait to use it.

If this was from that German Revisor website, I want every razor on that site! That one is just classic-I bet it shaves like a dream!

That's the site. And yes, there are some really great looking ones there to choose from. Even some on the lowere end look like really nice options. And it's one of the few places that actually have a stock to sell you right now. So many of the sites are depleted at the moment. So, yes buy them all.

    Nice razor, sir.
I think my next razor will be a Revisor. It looks like they will be on vacation until August so I should start saving.

I have a Revisor and it’s the bottom line model:
    6/8

Nothing fancy but it’s a very nice shaver!!

A very good friend had a newer Revisor cross his stones and it impressed him, he told me that he’d like to purchase one and wanted to know if I’d be interested in also doing so.

Long story made short: his razor was available but mine was out of stock and we were told that it would be 7 weeks until it would be available the decision was made to wait. However less than a week or so later we were told that Revisor had held a special weekend production and that my razor would be on it’s way!!

Mine was Perfect! The factory edge wasn’t bad at all, with a little work on the hones it was a wonderful shaver!

My friends had a defect and when he returned it to Revisor for inspection and replacement it was ‘lost’! He hadn’t sent it tracked and insured as he felt that he was just throwing good money after bad!

To this day when I talk to him and mention how nice of a shave I got from my Revisor I feel guilty as if he hadn’t encouraged me to purchase it, I’d never have known the joy it gives!

Once you get to the Revisor Site, check out the NOS razors they have for sale (Rarities)! Get ready to dig deep for some shaving candy!

There only seems to be a few different 6/8 blades - the round tip, stainless round tip, square tip with stabilizer, square without, and French point. The rest seem to be variations of scales and etching. I'm sure your 6/8 is every bit as good as any other. I probably won't get a chance to use it until the weekend since I won't have time during the week to really evaluate the edge or do any work on it if it needs it. Tough situation with your friends razor - OUCH.

Nice looking razor! I am planning on having Santa swing by revisor this year for a special gift on account of me being such a good boy this year! Christmas in July for you though means you left December wide open! Smart!!

So OCD, are you on a razor-a-day plan or something?

Come on back with a shave update. With 7/8's of whisker wiping steel I'm sure it will be a memorable!
