New subforum: shaving with Shavette razors
Hey all,
We've added a new subforum for shaving with Shavette razors (straight razors using disposable blades). That topic sometimes pops up in the other forums, and this way it can have its own place.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

I agree, but it's for the good cause.
This way I can more easily find all the heathens that need to be expelled
I draw the line at cartridge and electric razors though.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

Well I think you are mean, shavettes are closer to straight razors than a D/E is aren't they?
Bread and water can so easily become tea and toast

as a barber shavettes are more practical and easier to keep sanitized (new blade) every time means always sanitary, so I have a smattering of different shavettes.... i.e. dovo, hess monsieur Charles, dreadnought and blackdragon to mention a few......that being said....I never use them at home and never on myself....it defeats the purpose of wet shaving......LONG LIVE THE STR8 RAZOR!!!

Thanked: 0I bought a straight razor on e-bay before I found SRP. Big Mistake. Razor not sharp enough to shave. So I bought a shavette for £5 to try. Been using it a couple of months now as a learning tool. Now that I am starting to improve my technique, I am now looking for a decent quality straight razor. So some people say blasphemy, but a shavette is a cheap learning tool, before you take the plunge and invest good money for a quality straight razor[/I]
