Thanked: 3Is it possible to view the private messages that ones self wrote?
There have been a few occasions where I have a sent a private message, and have forgotten whether or not I included specific details. Is it possible to view the messages that you send? I can click on the 'sent messages' folder, but the page that comes up does not contain the messages that I have sent, it just shows me the red/green bar that represents how full my 'sent messages' folder is.
Thanks!

Default is probably to not save sent messages. Find the button to change that to save a copy of sent messages. You can probably do that faster than i can look for it.
Found it.
It's under: My Settings, General Settings, tick "save a copy" yo done.Buttery Goodness is the Grail

Some where in the settings is a check box to save a copy of sent messages to your sent folder.
If I recall correctly I had to turn that feature on as it was not on by default. It is just Whisker Whacking

Hi - you have to go into settings, and select keep a copy of your message in your sent mail folder, then you can review previous messages. That got me at first as well.

When you send the message there is a box to click to save your sent message to your sent file. Otherwise you would need the person you sent it to to send you the message back

"Settings" is in the upper right hand corner of the screen. Once there you'll see messege preferences. As previously noted, check the box that keeps a copy in your sent items folder.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

It seems to be a recurring topic, so I went ahead and changed the default for the new registrations to be set to save copies. It used to be that way years ago, but vbulletin changed it at one point. It seemed reasonable to me at the time, but it looks like the 'save' default is better in practice.
