Thread: Thanks? Maybe?

Is there a way to see what post other members thanked you on besides having to look through all your old posts. If not maybe there could be a notification like when you get likes. It would be nice to see which post might have helped someone out what not. Just curious.

I don't think that shortcut is available at present, but it's not too hard to do. It's just been a relatively low priority on my list.

Yeah I didn't think it would be that hard, maybe put as much strain as the "like" notification feature. I know its not like a big deal, or really even matters that much but it would be cool to see.

this wouldnt be the first time this question has been asked. it would be good to see who thanked you for what, the easy way to show someonr that you thanked them is to like the post as well.

You mean like that, well I know that is the case but not everyone does that, or maybe they were only thankful for the post but didn't really care for it, or maybe they hated you and even though your post was helpful they couldn't bring themselves to like it because that could be interpreted as liking you. So many possibilities.

It makes us actually READ the posts (and between the lines), and note the 'Thanks' or absence thereof. A mental note is taken and the brain is exercised. There might be a smartphone app to do it though!

Yeah I think the OP is reading posts but is looking for a way to go back and see? Maybe? I don't know. I just posted because I saw Sharptonn was thanking everyone.

Yeah I just want to be able to see who thanked me for what. I see the thanks counter go up but for me too see who thanked me for what I have to scroll through every post I have ever made. Which this will make 506. Which is alot even though it pales in comparison to some of you guys who have thousands to tens of thousands of post haha. It's just nice to know what post was actually helpful to somebody. If it's not going to happen then that's fine too I know it's more work for something I am not paying for just thought it would be a cool feature.

It will probably happen, but I can't give any timeframe. This is something that I've thought about for years and I already know exactly how to do and even tested it a month or two ago, so the most important part is already done.

Cool beans. Although now I know that most of my thanks are coming from this post from the two smart a$$e$ of srp haha. To be expected I guess haha.
