yes, I'm finding that out. I am also a member of the Nova Library & you can check out ebooks,, but what confuses me is, they say the ebooks you check out will expire after a certain date, I can't figure out how they can do that to my Nook when its not connected to anything after I downlaod the book,,,

I know who you are and I saw what you did :<00 And why would anyone read since they invented documentaries. Forum company accepted.

I took one of my regular books to breakfast last week & the waitress picked it up without asking & laughed as she tossed it back down,, now at least with the Nook, it's nobodies business what I read.

I watch a lot of documentaries too,,,

I would actually read a lot more but it puts me to sleep. I also need no interruptions or I have to go back a page or 2 to get back in the moment. Believe it or not the last book I read was "Expansion Theory" a theory of everything. Something about complicated thought keeps me very awake.

With you on the real books. I use the tablet for quick look-ups at home and usually have some reading material on it also while I'm ignoring TV. Patent drawings, Shaving books, and old books are loaded. Paper Books I take with me to read while waiting as I usually am alone in a restaurant or MD or suchlike place of few rewards. I watch mostly documentary style shows; sleep through any others.
Both have ral use for me now.

    My daughter said it well:
"With a book I know how much is left by the weight in my two hands and know whether to finish it or leave it for later."

I didn't want to get the Nook, as I try to resist technology, but it got me,,,

Occasionally we remove threads and posts for review and if they don't come back it means that the moderators have agreed that this is the best course.

As you can see there are plenty of heated discussions, arguments, and what not that are allowed, so it's pretty safe to say that the barrier to permanently removing posts is rather high (violations of forum policies such as solicitations/advertising/vendor disputes/etc. are clear and simple).
I understand curiosity, it's like the forbidden fruit, to use a biblical metaphor, but at the same time when a thread is removed for good reason talking about it is kind of silly.

In any case, there is no big secret about this. The thread that was removed was about the 'Ferguson' case. At the time it was pulled for review it had one post and four views. The unanimous view by the moderators is that it has no place on SRP, not so much because of the topic but because of the way it was presented.

And it's not going to be reinstated.
