All I get is phone calls from some Dumb F*** saying that he/or she is with Microsoft Security and my system is infected blah blah blah, I always ask how this could be since I don't have a computer and when they 'try' to figure that out I tell them what I think of them in not so nice words and then hang up!!

Whenever someone calls I don't know & suspect of being a solicitor,,, I just turn the conversation into a sex chat line.

It's good for two reasons,,, they don't call back & I don't get charged,,,

My favorite are the calls from India asking me if I need my ducts cleaned, now aside from the obvious straight razor joke, I pretend I don't hear them properly and tell them I only have a small farm, with only sheep, goats and a few chickens, they get frustrated and try to explain, "No the ducts in your house!!!", I say, "Why would I have any ducks in my house, I told you, only have sheep, goats and chicken's and they stay in the barn"...had one guy going for a good 10 minutes before he hung up in disgust...

My guess is that these "probes" to gain access to older accounts are being performed by a single person or small group using a service that masks the I.P. address of the user. These aren't very expensive and can be paid by the month.

I'm not sure, but U might be able to cross reference the malicious ip's with those used by these services. Obviously, a full and complete list probably won't be easily available.

Now, if only we could figure out their motive for trying to gain access to accounts for shaving nuts... I mean aficionados?
