Clubs?... What clubs?
You thought you'd be able to sneak this one by us quietly, didn't ya?
Where did the clubs go? Were they 86'd to make room on the servers for more razor porn?

The razor clubs?
They're still a sub-forum under the razor forum.

I never saw those clubs used for much? I am administrator of one, the Texas Shavers. I have no idea how to use it, so just use it as a list of local guys for meets on occasion. Then, we talk on the 'get togethers' to organize.
Anyone else use the 'clubs' for anything?"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.

I'm in My Picture Used To Be On A Milk Carton club. Thankfully, I'm the only member.

Nope I have never used any of the clubs for anything. I think I started one or 2 and was a member of a few more but they made precisely 0 impact on my forum experience.
I think they were called groups rather than clubs.Last edited by edhewitt; 12-05-2015 at 09:12 PM.

Ah, Groups, it may have been. When all traces of their existence vanished from the forum, I was left without a way to cross-reference & double check exactly what they were called
.
For me, this came at a rather awkward time! A few more Hoosiers have joined in the last few months, and I was trying to establish some sort of network & plant the seed of get togethers. One had just applied for "Hoosier Wet Shavers", and so I dropped a message to ask if those with the authority could look into the pending members. I was hoping to reinvigorate the group of shavers that have easy access to "The Crossroads of America".
I'm certainly not saying TPTB made the wrong decision. The groups, in my short tenure, haven't made an impact on me either. It just throws up a yellow flag for me, when a whole segment (albeit, underutilized) evaporates without so much as an "FYI" post from the staff. Ya know what I mean?

Yeah, I turned them off earlier in the week, or may be it was last week as they have been very inactive for quite some time.
I certainly can turn them back on if people have any use for them, but it seems that virtually everybody prefers to use forum threads.
There's one more feature I turned off at the same time, and so far nobody has noticed its absence.
In any case I didn't think it's a big deal because they appeared dead anyways, so I didn't see a need for public announcement either. And as I said, if needed I can reenable them.

Good decision, Gugi. I truly don't think they were missed. No need in using time and space for it.
One thing I do miss is the little 'top' button on the last post of a thread instead of having to scroll all the way to the bottom to get to that one. It's been gone for a good while!"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.
