Did a search for groups a few days ago and didn't see it. Just requested to join.

Of course I meant clear and easy "path." You have surely read and liked more than enough of my FaceBook posts to know that I think much faster than I type; I have spilled coke, coffee and other various substances on my keyboard over time that I often have to press a single key several times to make it appear and I am just an old man who can't type.
On to the more important issue, Facebook's organizational nature makes most posts with substantive data disappear down a lengthy graphical listing well past the point many readers reach. Complicating that more severely is the significant amount of false and misleading information generated by those with a profit motive and behaving like a group of piranha feeding on a bleeding calf.
The end game is to rescue, if you will, as many calves as possible by publicizing a path (link) to the information sources here and doing that through SRP-fb. That approach would bring new blood here before they are hopelessly screwed up and confused by bad information and resulting in more people who can recognize the bullshit from Facebook and challenge it where it appears.
No, it's not pretty. But it is something.
What do you think?

James is so on on this topic. The more positive support we can show on FB supporting the truth and the positive of what ever the topic is the sooner we can neutralize and drive out that horde of me only, profit based very negative people who have been using hate, threat and lies to achieve their aims. They are sly and subversive, enjoy using the victim card as soon as confronted with their methods. Keeping them aware that there are more people that want good, not misleading information can cause them to overload and bust a fuse, showing their true natures. The more that post the "real deal" keeping it at the top of each posting the quicker the readers will know where to come to get useful information and material.

Thanked: 2209Thanks James
One of the first things I did this morning was to take a look at the SRP Face Book page.
The one glaring omission is that there is no way to link to this website. In fact there is no mention, front and center, that this website even exists. Instead what is there is a pinned post about some negatives.
May I suggest that the banner be changed to Straight Razor Place .com or Straightrazorplace.com (if FB allows that). If it can be made clickable all the better. Directly under that but still in the banner put text that says
For in depth answers to all of your shaving go to straightrazoplace.com ( make it clickable if possible )
Next,
1. Get rid of that negative pinned post
2. Replace it with text and links to the most popular forums on SRP
3. Be sure to include a direct link to the SRP page where they can register or better yet create a SHORT form on FB that a new person can fill out quickly that will ( hopefully ) automatically be submitted and approved by SRP!
Another thought, as JimmyHAD has correctly pointed out FB people want their "new" fix each day, multiple times each day ( I resemble that ) . So maybe we can give SRP to FB and FB to SRP? This is a question for the computer techie's . Is there a method for new threads ( not posts ) on SRP to be posted to the SRP FB page with a link back to SRP so that the FB guys can go and read the thread ? and vice versa from FB to the various SRP forums ?
Just some initial thoughts/suggestions.
More ideas please !Last edited by randydance062449; 01-04-2017 at 04:02 PM.

I'm someone who uses and visits our FB group daily I really enjoy the group I'm also a member of several non shaving related groups which fit into my particular interests which I very much enjoy, I also get many offers to join lot's of other shaving groups honing groups fragrance groups which I choose to decline as there is only such much info you can take on board, I must admit I do enjoy occasionally using the shaving raffle groups they are well run and quite popular if you like a little flutter, I'm of the opinion our FB group will do far more good to our cause than harm, our FB members are the same nice friendly gentlemen that post here so we are in good hands.
