How to find straight razor restoration
I recently acquired a DD Wonderedge and a DD Lifetime Grim Reaper, both of which could use polishing and honing. How do I locate our members who restore vintage straights? I don't see any ads in the buy/sell section. Thanks.

Thanked: 634Hang in there and someone will get back to you. Post photos of blades and scales both sides so they know what the would be working with.

Hate to say it but that Wonderedge looks like it could have the beginnings of cell rot. I'm sure someone else will chime in to confirm or tell me I'm wrong. I hope I am wrong for your sake because that is an otherwise beautiful razor.

Thanked: 1081The Grim Reaper is as rare as hens teeth, great find. I'm sure someone will PM you that is in your area to help.
The "cracked ice" scales on the wonderedge is renowned for cell rot. You could be in luck though as the cell rot I've seen usually goes straight across following the edge of the scales.
