Thread: firefox slowdown

I have not installed FF fresh for years (other than automatic updates) and it's open on my computer for most of the day... I've never noticed any memory leak issues or a "slowdown" when logged-on to SRP and I never have to close/reopen it. I'm also running 2.0.0.13.

So, what's different between your setup and mine... things that immediately come to mind are what OS are you running, what add-ons do you have installed/enabled in FF, what add-on tool bars do you have active, what are you displaying that originates from SRP (eg, flashchat, who's online, chatbox, casino, etc.) and how many tabs do you have open. You might try turning off any addons and toolbars to see if any of them are the cause. Have you changed any of your security settings recently that might be related to the problem?

For all practical purposes, no changes have been made to the forum configuration for many months except those enabled over the past week or so. We did change servers in mid-march, and while that has in fact made things faster, the forum configuration is actually identical to that on the old server.

Without additional info I'm at a loss to suggest anything else.
