For me it is indeed the message font size

I use Firefox too, and my min font size is obviously bigger than the design size. Everything resizes well EXCEPT for the stuff on the left panel of the thread box. The Location, Status, Join date, etc. don't fit in the white (light blue) boxes any more, so they plaster all over themselves. I have commented in the announcement thread about this.
At least I can switch back to Steel Blue scheme. Not my favorite either, but it resizes properly. I liked the Sea Green a lot...
