Thanked: 26+1
The color scheme is great. Even though I hit CTRL +, it doesn't do much for me. Some text enlarges and some text does not. But even with changing the text size through IE's menu, it changes the text for IE globally. In other words, if I'm on another site that doesn't need the larger text, I still get larger text. It's a little annoying to go larger for SRP then go back to medium for other sites. I've decided to just stick with the original.

Thanked: 953I really dig the new look. This is very slick - love the midnight blue. My eyes stink and this isn't bothering me at all.

Not ungrateful...
I want to go on record here that I disagree that this is a lack of gratitude at all. For the most part, what I'm reading is a lot of constructive criticism. Personally, I don't have any issues with the layout or font - I'm young and have blessed with great vision. My only issues are with small glitches here and there that I'm sure will be worked out. I'm not listing them off as I come across them because there always seems to be someone who has beaten me to it. I think everyone here wants this site to be all it can be and you'll always have folks who don't take well to change. I'm discovering features available in the new format that were not available in the old one every time I come back to it. I would like to see the forum search work from any page rather than the forum page only, but I can get over that for the quite nice new profiles pages... It's a give and take and you've got lots of old farts here who are gonna be hesitant or downright stubborn toward change. That's just how it is - we're lucky they're not afraid of computers altogether - imagine how limited our resources would be...
Keep in mind that if it weren't for constructive criticisms, all of the positives you're hearing about this new skin might never have come to mind... I'd like to say thank you, David, for your work and reiterate that I doubt anyone who's posted in this thread, whether negatively or positively, takes your commitment to furthering our community for granted.
This is just my two cents...
No geezers were harmed in the making of this post...

Thanked: 3795I like the look of the new look but the new look hurts my ability to look. I find it to be way to hard on my eyes. For me, it's not the font size, though I think it a tad too small, it's just too painful to read it for very long because of the severity of the contrast. It gives me a headache within a few minutes of reading.
Vison Collision is a good name for the new look. I will definitely be regularly switching to the Steel Blue skin.

The vision collision scheme is ok... but the contrast between the background and text boxes is too much for my comfort... so i have switched back to the blue steel and i am glad i found the option in the user CP to make the switch permanent. I'll check the vision collision from time to time to see if i decide i like the upcoming changes
And yes i do appreciate the time and dedication Dave and the other admins and mods have put into the site... i just like optionsBe just and fear not.

Thanked: 113 pages of people saying "I dislike the small font size" and "give us back our old skin" goes beyond constructive criticism and ventures into the realm of flogging a dead horse especially when you can do something about it yourself.
Keep in mind that if it weren't for constructive criticisms, all of the positives you're hearing about this new skin might never have come to mind.
I'm not exactly old but I'm rather resistant to change too personally I'd like a black background with either Green, Amber or White text - no font options no graphics etc just like the BBS's of yesteryear
As far as the font size goes I've not used IE for many years but both safari and firefox allow you to set a MINIMUM font size that the browser will use, no zooming is required. But if the website is using a bigger font then its appearance wont be effected.

Would it be possible to have a larger letter size in the reply screen?
