I have a static IP by choice at my house, but cable internet is known for using dynamic IPs. Regardless, there is a way around that so that I could have a different IP each time I connect to any website - and have that IP change every 30 minutes.

Thanked: 22So how would this work exactly? I don`t understand. How would someone differenciate between a spammer and a normal member when doing this cookie thing? Sounds much like you`d need to do it via an IP address, and if IP`s are shared how will it not affect several people?
I`m not exactly a computer wizz, so I just want to understand how this cookie thing would be any different/safer than banning an IP address. I`m willing to learn.
