Default Am I the only one who misses the old B/S/T forum?

I just can't get into these new classifieds (though I have made a purchase or two there). I think the old forum format was much better. For one thing, it allowed the experienced members to point out great deals to the newbies. I know there were occasional problems with these types of comments, but I think we pretty much policed ourselves in that regard. If anyone cares, I say bring back the old B/S/T.

The classifieds as far as I can tell allow for making a comment. I've done so in a few ads.

It's taken some getting used to, but at this point I like the new system.

The new system is cleaner, neater, and very accessible!!!!!!

The old BST was cluttered, full of old listings, and bulky in the forum and new post sections...

Soooooooooo Why did I like the old system better
I guess it had a more human element that is the only reason I can think of at the momment.......

i used to go into the B/S/T forum quite a bit. at least multiple times daily. i have not looked at the classifieds in going on 2 weeks. just don't care for it much.

I agree with Jim and Vgod. I used to browse through the BST forum as I did all the others - often using the "new post" button. Now, I rarely remember to look in the classifieds. I liked it the old way. Hmmm, that sounds familiar

The new system took some getting used to. My only complaint is the old listings are deleted too soon, I used to be able to go back and look at sold items a week or two later to get an idea of what the market is doing on specific items.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I have to agree with the above sentiments. It also seemed to me that the razors and other items actually sold a little quicker in the old B/S/T.

In a way, the classifieds is good for those who suffer RAD, coz new listings don't show up under new posts.

I think I looked at the classifieds all of two times when they first started. Haven't looked there since.

+1, it's not quite the same. I feel bad even saying such a thing, knowing how much work has likely gone into the new format. But, I have been wondering when this thread was going to appear.

    The previous format was easier
