    Default SRP Magazine

SRP should publish a periodical with photos and articles.

Have you gone MAD!?! Magazine acquisition Disorder. It would be neat though, a section on history, one on customs(w/centerfold of course) and interviews with makers/restorers, shave of the month(best of SOTD) and reviews of products. I like the idea, now whos got the money to fund a publication for such a small audience?

Could be quarterly or twice a year even.

Vendors'/members' ads + subscription fees are the two sources I think of off the top of my head. I'm going to take Jimbo's approach though and just suggest the idea. Maybe someone else can work out the little details like how to pay for it

Its very doubtful that it would even pay for itself. Another board I like did a magazine and it was very well done but went under quickly because advertisers like to spend money in larger markets. I am sure free bird knows what I am talking about.

I thought about this exact same thing the other day. I was at Wal-Mart looking through the rags. You know, they carry quite a few mags focused toward a very small group. As a matter of fact, they had a Civil War Coin Collector mag. Don't get much more niche than that!

LOL! I gave up hiding magazines under the bed when I left home. If this comes to fruition, I better make sure I am the one who turns our mattress from now on.

Another option could be to do the mag in PDF format - it would eliminate printing costs and could be distributed via email or available as a download. No advertisers required, no newstand price...

The pdf idea is good. That does eliminate many costs.

But how do you pin/tape the centerfold to the wall?
