None of the mods got any help in getting their rep. For example, the reason glen has 5 boxes is all the thanks and rep he got for his work in the restoration forum. I think Glen is the most thanked forum member.
OS got his rep the same way.

The only ones to get a head start were the super mods and admins. we all got a 2 or 3 block head start (I got 2 extra I think). This is not because we wanted to be king. The meter goes to 10 blocks.

The reason was that super mods and admins do a load of work behind the scenes that noone ever sees.
It was felt that admin personel should have some reputation so that they would be visible as reputable members. Especially since some of us will very rarely do something that earns them thanks, and thus would always be stuck at 1 or 2 blocks, like David.

But it is true that this was perhaps not the ideal way to start this.
