Hi all..

I just wanted to reiterate Bruno's statement, that we are NOT going to start charging for content that we have now.. SRP will always be a mainly free site.. But there are some added features that might be put together for a paid membership..

I think that it could be a good thing... the site stays the same for those who don't think the new contents don't interest them and the one who want to use the new contents can pay for them... ok by me. I'll vote yes. But I would really like to know what else can be added to this site... sure, the money can be added of course. But really... what do you guys want to "sell us"? The site is great as is... and if the money gathered by some cotents were to be distributed among those who work hard to keep this going, good!
One suggestion though: why not make the casino a real casino, meaning, having prizes and bets with real money?... that would be nice for some and, of course, the House always wins...

It is illegal in the US....

One thing I would love to see in a paid membership or upgrade is an increased photo upload for the personal gallery section.
I do undertand that the site is growing and that server expansion eventually would need to take place. I'm in favor for any upgrades that might be offered in the near future.

Voted yes but real answer is might which also should be the option.

Depends on many things.

I am leaning against the paid membership. I should not worry about it with it being voluntary but it could tend to separate the members and that is not good.

I don't blog. I think there are already enough self-absorbed people on the web. However, as others have already said, I have gotten enough from this forum that I would support this.

I'm in favor of it. I'm especially in favor of having graduated badges or whatever to indicate more generous contributors. Really gives those of us who are short on time but long on money a way to gain prestige. Also puts the hoi polloi in their place. I am generally in favor of money based aristocracies in real life as well as the internet.

I've been on servers (back in the days of Hotline) where you could buy premium memberships, and that was cool. Also, it's common for isps to sell premium subscriptions. I think as long as you are getting something for your money (aside from feeling superior) then it's a pretty equitable system.
