Thumbs up The Wiki got a facelift

Well I am now looking at the wiki at 1280 x 1024 resolution and must say it is world's better than at 800 x 600. I might even suggest that it appears the wiki front page was designed from that perspective, or perhaps a higher one

On a related note, thank you BeBerlin and Clavichord for marking the table structure with comment tags. The headache that was the front page appears to be finally over to a large degree

Everyone please do take another look at the wiki front page and you can see for yourself what is in the Straight Razor Wiki and what needs still to go into it. It is shaping up to be the foremost easy-reference straight razor resource on the internet, but don't worry there is still plenty for us to get in on. Editing current content and adding new content is still high priority. The straight razor database still needs your razors and most of the listed razors' manufacturer pages still need to be created.

On a final note, if you are not sure what to contribute or what needs editing, feel free to make comments and ask questions here or in the chat room. You could even add a request or suggestion to this thread: http://straightrazorpalace.com/srp-w...cles-wiki.html

Funny... I mentioned that here as well but have seen no replies yet. Maybe it is just us

    Lee,

Can you get me a screenshot? It doesn't happen for me. What size monitor are you on, and what browser?

Dave, for me it only happens in the razor database when a razor image stretches out to the side of the screen and the ad overlaps. That is on 1024 x 768 resolution. At 1280 x 1024 the ad overlaps are very minor and are not obscuring anything important

Screenshot is from 1280 x 1024 resolution. Unfortunately at the smaller resolution many tangs in photos are covered up (for me, anyway) although I need only click on the photo to be redirected to an adless page which lets me see the whole thing

Nowhere have I seen an ad in the wiki obscure any textual content though

PS could someone move these ad complaint posts to that other thread I linked? pretty please?

    Hi,
I understand the idea is to make the site optimal at 1280 resolution.
I use a computer with a 10" screen and I need to run it at 1024 resolution. The pictures on the main wiki page cover up the topic links. Is there anything simple that can be done to fix that?

The printable version works on my mobile device. Failing that, try no style. Bit cumbersome, I'll readily admit. But works.

It is happening to a more severe degree in the new wiki skin, ads covering up important portions of text. Ben, screenshot?
