You're absolutely right! It was a knee jerk response by me and I apologize if I was off base. I do think a lot of this forum and its members, not to mention all the great info and help I've received. I guess I was just expecting a "yes we can do that" or "no it's fine the way it is" answer.

I was a mentor on another forum for many years and I know what you're talking about with people getting very touchy.

It's really just one click: there's an FAQ link along the top navbar right next to the classifieds.

Well I'll say one thing y'all... I'll sure never forget where the lists are located.

That's what's great about these kinds of groups, everyone's generally got their own opinion but it all comes together in the end.

Glad that you brought it up because I couldn't find the darn thing either. Now I'll also remember where it is.

IMO, the trouble isn't that beginners wouldn't find the list. I think the problem is that some of our newbies seem to have completely missed the beginner guide for some reason or another.

I don't know if it is done already, but would it be possible that newly-registered persons would receive an PM welcoming them, giving few instructions and guiding them to the beginner guide to start their journey? PM because on logging to the site, the site notifies of the message and it is extremely easy to go read it and the following links. When I joined, all I got was a generic email.
