Thanked: 66Being a PC Engineer and many years in the IT world since I was a teenager...I know for sure there are various great shave sites other than SRP...and people want apps for their sites..problem is..if its an iphone app
( I use a iphone 3gs as well) people who want to make iphone apps are tied down to using Apple programming tools ONLY..though soon enough apple will be lifting those restrictions allowing people who make iphone apps to use their own 3rd party apps...hope this helps!

About 25% of my access and interaction here on SRP is via my iPhone. I'm not sure how an app would make it any easier. The other 75% of my access is via iPad.

You don't really need an app for an iPhone, and unless it's going to have some special features not available from a computer it would be kind of pointless. I use my iPhone for 90% of browsing and then only use my computer to upload photos. It's almost the same thing, all content is the same and it's set up the same way.

Some of the forum sites I frequent have a special mobile site. The server can detect weither you're on a pc or mobile device and direct you to the appropriate one. The mobile one is short on the details of the full website. I think that would be the better solution than having an iPhone app (even though I'm writing on an iPod).
