    Lee, in addition to the Linux & Firefox I also run NoScript. I have no popups if I'm not allowing java scripting and the thanks button still functions for me. If I allow java I get the vendor ads on the side bar but I've never gotten that weird popup stuff that some members have posted about. I don't know if that is any help but thought to mention it.

    seriously though I don't know why this issue appears the way it does. I run noscript as well, but I have never used Mint. I suppose I could try it though just to eliminate the bug symptom

    I like mint very much. Better that Fedora or Ubuntu but YMMV. I use KDE window manager and apps and like it better than gnome.
