Thanked: 227Hmmm I thought this thread would've died a week or so ago...
Oh well, I guess I'll join in
I for one have had run ins with mods on other forums, generally because complaints have been made about some of my posts which have clearly called into question the sense of some folks, or have offended thier sensibility because I may at points argue against the grain....
I however feel no worry on this forum, because I believe that if I articulate my argument well and provide a decent explanation of my point and an understanding of the subject matter then the ladies and gents here will take the time to read it and understand it. Instead of skimming for the words they find offensive and then making up in their head what I was actually trying to say, and as such I would think they expect the same from me.
I find this a rarity in forums, and in general most places on the tinterwebs and I think we have a uniquely ladylike and gentlemanly group of users.
Long may it last......

Thanked: 13245Banned Users
Although this thread is fine and going very well, I did remove all reference to any specific banned user ...
Please keep it to a GENERAL discussion, not a "by person" and why they were banned ... That is an impossible route to take because Mods are not allowed to discuss why anyone was banned, so it becomes all conjecture with no facts...
Thanks

Rarely is a person banned for one violation of the rules unless it is so egregious that the banning is merited. It is almost always an accumulation of many violations over a long period of time. How a person responds to the communication they receive from the mod team related to their behavior on the forum can also influence the results. Fortunately the vast majority of members here abide by the rules of conduct they agree to when they sign on to SRP and treat each other with respect in posting on the forum. So banning members is a rare occurrence.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
