It was freenode - looks like they pulled the ole switcheroo on us. We've got a temporary fix up which points to the same freenode webchat linked earlier by BKratchmer.

I was able to go into chat but no text box on the screen so I could read but couldn't write.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I've got my computer to do a update on different programs (Java here) and it seems that every time I upgrade something to do with Java I can't get into chat...FWIW...

On Freenode's administrative blog they note that they have discontinued the Java interface... so this is a permanent end of Java-based IRC chat. Which, IMO is a good thing. Java is icky! Originally Posted by shooter74743
