It's time to be honest with you guys. My real name is not Ryan82. It's Nayr28. Sorry for the deception....

I also have to confess…I am actually "Reverend Doc: The Pistoleer Parson" as seen here. The picture is a little out of date…I was older then…but since we're all coming out and sharing so personally…

    Talking

    Rev,

Gotta say that the SAA is my favorite pistol, er... is that the 1911? The SAA points a tad high for me unless I have my pinky curled under the grip. The 1911 is dead on.

At any rate, you're looking good there and the pistol looks mighty fine too.

I thank you kindly, sir. That is indeed a Colt's Single Action Army Revolver, "4th" Generation, chambered for the .44 WCF (aka .44/40) cartridge, which I also load in my Winchester 1873 model lever action rifle (a replica, not a real antique). I don't have a Colt's 1911 but I do have a Kimber Compact 1911 and it's a sweet shooter.

If the SAA is hitting high you must move to either a lighter bullet or a faster one, that will exit the barrel before the muzzle has raised so much under recoil. If you load your own cartridges, that's easy enough to do. I'd rather adjust my load than file the sights on such fine weapons as these!

I wish I had a shot of myself in my clergy garb, black coat, clergyman's collar, black leather and pistols. Talk about the Fear of the Lord....Cowboy Action Shooting is the most fun you can have with your clothes on!

    Wink

    nun2,

There really isn't a good shortening for Bruce, so that's what Mom called me. Now if she used both my first and middle names, things were not good. If first, middle, and last names were called out in loud tones - now there was trouble and I was the one who was in it.

Ulfherjar= Kenneth so as to foster camaraderie and goodwill. Is it rediculous that everytime I see Max's name mentioned, I think of Che? When I saw his actual photograph I said "He looks nothing like Che"! Now I have to wonder is Glen really I big striped kitty-cat? Deceivers!

That would work in the southwest with the whole 'western' theme. But a double headed battle axe and a sword would work equally well. Perhaps a vial of holy water on your belt and a wold skin cape as well? Forget about this whole 'blessed are the meek' thing. What Jesus fails to appreciate is that it's the meek who are the problem.
