Default Headline! : SRP Classifieds Needs Tune Up!!

Maybe this has been covered before but it bothers me now so I"m bloody well going to vent!! 'R you ready?? Here goes. It would make the SRP Classifieds MUCH easier to deal with if the 'SOLD' items were in a different colum or just listed differently. somtimes you will have an entire page of items, all sold and that makes reading them harder. I know someone has brought this up before, had to have I'm guessing. But IMHO, this needs addressing. So I ruddy well suppose I"m directing this to the person who designed the site in the 1st place, ..................how about if I said pretty please? I'm sorry if this is considered rude, just something on my mind lately.

    With apologies, tinkersd or SRP.

You are right. This has been addressed before.
Personally, I don't see that much difficulty in clicking through a couple of pages to see what's still for sale; and in fact, I like being able to see the sold items so that I can satisfy my curiosity regarding what has sold and for how much.

I am very sorry the free service provided to you by a team of volunteers is not meeting your expectations.

We will put together an steering committee to generate case studies and focus groups on the proper architecture of classifieds system on a shaving forum in a web 2.0 world. I expect a very quick turnaround. Results should be available by first quarter 2013 at which point we can put together a design team and start planning implementation.

Excellent! Sign me up for one of the focus groups. I've got lots of opinions and I'm certain that they will be very helpful in this endeavor. I would assume, of course, that the focus groups will be given a stipend, right?

Me too, especially if there are all-expense-paid meetings in exotic locations.

I vote we unionize for full salary and benefits! We could be SRP teamsters!

In all honesty though a similar thought crossed my mind in a much less passionate way. I noticed some items still for sale were several pages back, and wondered if it would be possible to sort the items according to price and have SOLD register as a NULL value making them show up at the bottom end of the list. I DO like to see that an item is sold BEFORE clicking on it...in my case that saves me time.

And for what it's worth: I appreciate having this forum available as a newcomer to straight shaving. My shaving has greatly improved through what I've read here. Big thanks!

I don't really care if I have to wade through sold items or not. But I was always curious as to why the sold items remain posted and marked sold instead of being deleted? I that so people who were monitoring them as potential purchase know that the item is no longer available? I guess it is also good to know the price an item sold for when trying to buy one outside of the classifieds.

    Hmmmmm - am I correct?
