yay, mac!!! very easy - you open the picture, and should happen in Preview.app, then you just select the region you want to crop (press mouse button, drag, release button, then readjust if you want by dragging the borders of the frame) and cmd+k does it (cmd+s to save).
To resize Tools->Adjust Size (you can select resolution 72dpi since that's what the screen has, and I since the images in the classifieds get resized to 700x700 may as well pic the larger size to be 700 and get a better picture due to osx's algorithm being better than the one build into the classifieds software).

As a mac user myself I found this apple link below, to be the most helpful thing in learning how to use my new mac. Ditch the trial and error method!

I owe a tremendous thanks to all of you especially HNSB for the temporary fix, hopefully I can duplicate the positive results myself in the near future. Gugi, you are the ultimate!

I'm pretty sure I have enough time and posts to list an ad or a buy/trade post. I can't seem to find the link to post in the classifieds. I found it once a week ago or so but am a bit lost now. Can I get some direction?

The default minimum time as a member required to post a for-sale ad is 3 months. Unless I am mistaken, you registered at the end of December, so a couple of weeks to go yet

the link you saw before may have been only to place a wanted ad, also unavailable at the moment for those under the minimum requirements to place a for sale ad (which is another issue currently being ironed out)

yes, there are no limitations for those, but it doesn't seem to work after we updated the software.
you can wait until we fix it, or until you get enough time to post for sale ads and you should be able to also post in the wtb section too.

Posting WTB ads should now work for all members in good standing.

    Thumbs up

Thanks Gugi, I just posted on WBT. I look forward to the benefits that the classifieds offer.
