Thanked: 1371An introductory post might make you feel more like part of the community.
Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

Of course you are part of the community. The forums are loaded with time proven helpful ideas and pointers for all experience levels. Keep reading and If you have a question post it.Someone will surely answer or make suggestions. Most of us on here have learned by reading and asking questions. Good luck and welcome to SRP.

Making sure that items sold in the classifides are sold from active members keeps the classifides honest, and greatly decreases the chance that you will buy something from some yahoo who disappears after mailing you garbage. You can be somewhat assured that you are buying something that was accurately described, from someone who cares as much about straightrazors and wetshaving as you do.
This has proven to an awesome community of trustworthy members, who are not in it to make a buck, but genuinely care about helping the new guy get up and running. So, of course you are welcome to share and learn...but to be honest, your VERY FIRST (and only) 4 posts are complaining about not being able to sell anything.
I'm with HNSB. Start by introducing yourself. It doesnt have to be dazzling or witty. just a hey. where are you from? how many razors do you own? what kinds? what strops? Any hones? what is your preshave routine? Any interests other than shaving? yada yada.
Its not a thesis on the origin of species. It's courtesy.
Its just the way it is, and keeps the make-a-quick-buck knucleheads on ebay. If you're not one of those guys, then welcome to SRP, and if you have anyquestions feel free to ask.
If you are, then I suspect I am wasting my keystrokes, as you have probably aready moved on. Either way

Right, and while you are doing that, bear in mind that virtually everyone starts out by just asking questions. It's most appreciated if the questions come as a result of doing a little research on the forums or elsewhere, but as you can see by the Beginner area, that isn't always the case. Either way we view it as participation and a way for new guys to get more engaged in SRP and straight razor use, collecting or whatever. Get to know us and let us get to know you and, hopefully, everyone benefits.
Anyway, I know that your comments really relate to access to the Classifieds, not to forum participation and it sounds like you understand our position so I won't repeat it again. Hopefully you will enjoy it here and, over time, see the value in our insistence that we put the welfare of our community ahead of anyone's commercial interest.
