    Default Avatar size

For some of the sight challenged is it possible to click on an Avatar to see what they are? Or some other way to enlarge the picture. Most all others are easy to read.
In particular Maxi--what the heck is that and Zelenbakh is too small for old eyes to tell what it is.

I think that the size you see is all there is. Avatars are usually very small, and restricted from being bigger due to storage concerns(Well, that applied back in the day at least)

Some of the Guru's will surely chime in with a better explanation, but for what it is worth, I think that you won't be able to see them any bigger without loss of image quality.

I'm sorry for my avatar. Just thought it's better to have avatar then nothing. I'm old and it's not easy for me to work on computer. I can't even post photoes, they are always bigger than the posted size. I hope in future I'll find better avatar solution.

Yeah, the avatars are just that size and in .gif format. That's what the forum software does. It does make sense to have them all the same size since then the forum layout is uniform and looks nicer.
There is also a profile picture which can be larger and it's in png (and I think it can be in jpg) format but most people haven't set those up (me included because I'm too lazy to find the original picture I used for my avatar).

And I think mine's relatively legible, but if you wonder it's a screenshot from a 1929 movie of stropping a straight razor on a paddle strop.
