Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

Getting back to the banned thing. I was banned for a week. No one pissed off the mods more than I did. I learned to get along. That's all it is. This is a social situation. We're basically the same group of people, new recruits come along, some stay, some leave. It reminds me of the Military in a way, being with the same people day in and day out for years. I've only met one person here "in person" I've talked to quite a few on the phone.
Email, PM's, Forums, can be great ways to communicate and share info. We can talk, share information and have access to merchandise from around the world. It's cool if you think about it. It also easy to let ego's in the way, and really easy to type negative, or nasty comments. A lot of people will put things in emails and pm's, that they might not normally say. Some just downright break the rules. READ THE RULES......Usually we just pull your post and remind you. You have to work at it to be banned, and all the Mods discuss it, every time.
I got into with my boss in work, a female, who absolutely hated me, for no reason. I came to work everyday, did my job and went home. My section was a small group of about 12 people, about 5 men and 7 women at the time. She didn't like the men, and she was married. She just gave the men a hard time. We'd get into pissing contests in emails all the time, only in email. She didn't have the nerve to say it in person. I saved every negative email she sent, hard copy. It wasn't too long after that she had internet security camera's mounted in my office. Now, I share this office with two other tours. It runs 24 hours/7 days a week. So, the camera's weren't just trained on me.
When I questioned her about the camera's, I was expecting a professional courteous answer. I got, "If I wanted to catch someone being lazy and unproductive, I'd mount a camera on your desk! At the time, my back was broke, and still not correctly diagnosed by the Dr's until I went to Mayo Clinic here in Jacksonville, Fl. I wasn't 100%. I was on painkillers, and had light duty. It was unavoidable. About 2 years after that, they found the break and fixed it. A lot of that back pain caused me to be irritable, and it showed, even on here with the mods. Sometimes it's better just to stay off the computer, or the forum if your not in the best of moods.
She never apologized. I actually filed an EEO complaint on her that went no where. I showed her boss the email, he told me to file, but he'd deny it if asked. (We're talking U.S. Gov't here) It went in her record, and she backed off. No one else had the balls to come forward. Everyone would shoot their mouths offs about how bad she was, but no would ever do anything about it. I think that's what bothered me the most. We finally buried the hatched as they say, and life went on. Believe it or not, she got a promotion, Did I mention this was the US Gov't? Anyway, my new boss is also female, but very cool. So, life is good.
I guess what I'm saying is it's better to get along.

I'd just like to point out that this discussion got re-started because someone mistook HNSB's user title < Bland user> for < banned user >

An easy way to avoid banning is to always remember this smiley:

I have a cousin who was stopped by a really "unhappy" driver and was spoken to in a not so nice way, and being the nice witty lady she is she replied: "Well you Blankedy, blank, blank BLANk!" The guy who was mad at her was quite stumped, didn't really know what to say...
SRP rule about for bad language: If you really get mad post a blank post. You don't HAVE to be here anyway if you don't want too.
When i think about it i haven't read a tread yet with unhappy people, except people unhappy with hones and edges.

< banned user > ???
I'm new here but from what I have seen people conduct themselves very well and act like gentlemen.
I have only heard talk of banned-aids.
