    Default Sidebar ad

    Good evening admins,
You're probably still in the middle of working on the Everywhere Sidebar thing, but just in case you don't already know, I don't seem to be able to collapse it anymore, even when there's nothing in it. If this is a permanent thing, do you think it would make sense to disable it from the picture-oriented forums? With it showing, the widest that any of the SOTD pics is showing on my screen is 586 pixels, which is a bit underwhelming for a high-res shot that someone has put time and effort into producing.

    Thanks for your consideration,
    Dave

In the meantime you might try the SRP Mobile theme if you haven't already. I love it for being able to see more posts and fewer distractions in threads

I view this site on my iPad and this sidebar is making it next to impossible to view the site. It squishes everything too small.

    Gave you tried tapatalk?
I'm a big fan of it for browsing various forums.

Is there a sidebar ad ..... I hadn't noticed. I learned to tune that stuff out long ago. Don't even see 'em.

The side bar i am talking about just showed up today.

Yes i use tapatalk also, but like safari for the classic feel, I hate the mobile versions of web sites, they look too plain and boxy.

Yeah, it's been sitting there empty for several days on my end. I've never seen anything in it. I figured it was empty because my hosts file blocks a lot of ad-related stuff.

I realize the advertisers pay real $$$ for their ads, and I respect that. Their $$$ helps support SRP, my favourite website, and I am grateful for that.
However, reducing it in size by as little as 15% might make it more bearable for me. Just saying.

    Or making it horizontal perhaps?
