    Ah. Surely they go away at some point though - I see hardly any ads in the archive older than 30 days. And I know I have sold more than 6 things in the classifieds

    They do not go away though, last time that happened to me after more than a month of expiration of all my adds I still could not post. The message was that I have used my max number of adds.

    This has hit the nail on the head. No matter what length of ad you select they do not seem to expire so you can post more items. You can just post 6 items and then sit and wait until the system decides it wants to delete your old ads.

    One thing I've noticed is that before when you placed an ad of seven day (or whatever), you would get a notice to renew. Now you don't, so if something doesn't sell make sure you mark it as sold. It seems to help flush your list
