Thread: Double posts a-plenty!

I usually try to delete mine. I may have missed one or two.

The ones from me are caused by Verizon Wireless.
I live in the middle of nowhere and connect over the air to their 3G network. Sometimes the signal drops, and the data being transmitted gets re-sent. (or at least that's what I think is happening)

OK, cool. You were one of the offenders I noticed

Something I can suggest that might help? At least one other site I am on requires 60 seconds between posts, I am not sure if this feature is implemented here or if it would help...or if anyone really cares (my scroll feature works pretty good, I just wanted to call it to everyone's attention)

Edit to correct...I see SRP uses 30 seconds between posts...disregard the above blather

@ work, posting on my laptop earlier, I hit send and pop up asks me if I want to 'leave page'. So I go to the url at the top and 'open link in new tab'. My post is there already. So I x out and go on. If I had hit 'resend' I would have double posted. Not sure if this has anything to do with anything .... just sayin'

Exactly the same thing here. Pretty sure this is a site performance problem.

That's exactly what I do too Jimmy. Seems to happen to me when the site is slow to load - perhaps during a database backup?

Me too (lately)
