Inappropriate comments
Several times now, I've seen inappropriate posts in threads where the topic is about women and shaving. For some unfathomable reason, such threads end up with 'funny' comments which one would expect from hormonal teenagers instead of gentlemen.
Such comments have no place here.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

A way I look at it is this:
I consider SRP public. I enjoy humor as much as the next guy but what has been coming up is more private humor and should be either done with tact or not at all. Please be considerate with your posts as we do have female members.Shaving with facial hair is like a golfcourse. It's a challenge of rough and fairways. You are the skilled greenskeeper of your face?

Thank you Bruno. Straight Razor Place should always be a family friendly forum.

There comes a point in time when a boy SHOULD turn into a man.

Take it from me, Bruno means all posts/threads. We just had to resort to banning a new guy with a very few posts because he had a screen name that the mod team felt was inappropriate for a family oriented forum. He refused to change it and replied with an obscene remark so ....... like water, he will have to seek his own level. I am sure it is someplace on the web.

Thanked: 375I've noticed in general people just being rude IMO. Newbs are asking question, and getting smart replies. Just the other day someone wanted to leave SRP, and I could guess why by the comments that followed.

Thanked: 1195I think the whole point is that SRP should be a safe comfortable environment for ALL members. Rude posts, whether they pertain to gender, politics, religion etc, have no place here. The key IMO is gentlemanlike behaviour.

Joking and picking at each other out of fun is fine. Beligerent, obnoxious, or crude..4chan would be better suited for you. As far as someone being rude to a newbee, I'm sorry to hear that, everyone needs to keep in mind that at one point YOU were that person asking rudimental questions too, so keep that in mind, or don't post in the beginners sections, plain and simple folks. Personally I like posting and replying to folks in the beginners forum, helping out those new people like others did for me...pay it forward guys!

Mastering implies there is nothing more for you to learn of something... I prefer proficient enough to not totally screw it up.
