Saponaceous has to be the word of the day. Must get one of these pots.

I'm going crazy looking at these covers!!. As an artist and one time graphic designer I relish the beautiful designs and graphics of the early 20th Century (and earlier too). I wouldn't go as far as killing to get my hands on some of these but I might consider hurting and maiming. Plus, I've yet to really see anything like these in my neck of the world and I am not in the boonies. Can any one point me in the direction of locating them. And yes, I will try (yuck) eBay.

This website makes a version of the above.
Check under the sub-heading "mens collection" as well.

Personalized porcelain shaving cream pots! That is awesome and certainly something to put on the birthday list! Has anyone used the cream before?

Thanks Bongo. An interesting site. But my acquisition and esthetic addiction (and it has near ruined me in the past) wants, needs, demands (almost sounds like it's alive, do I need to see a shrink ((only one that uses straight razors please))) that I go for the originals. eBay had one, at an over $100 current bid. Out of my league at this time. Thanks again for the lead.

    Razorfeld,

As you are aware, some of those antique pots go for the same price as a good quality
vintage straight razor !!....Good Luck Sir

    Bongo,

What time is it in Australia right now? It is, here in Oregon, 3:10AM. Couldn't sleep and decided to see how the other half of the world responds to SRP postings. Unfortunately I am aware of the razor price of some of those pots and have now resigned myself to the fate of the little boy with his faced pressed against the window longing for the toy he can never have. No hope of Christmas gift either since most of my generally alienated family are no better off than I am (acquired the black sheep of the family standing a good sixty years ago when I went my way in the world.)
