mdc sure is a crowd pleaser. recently i have been using mdc shampoo on my kids (i'm a shaved head guy)....the shampoo is a bit watery but lathers just like you'd expect and washes out super easily and quickly. it has the same lavender type scent.

Is MdC a hard soap? Does it contain tallow or lanolin?

No lanolin that I'm aware of, but it does contain stearic acid and coconut oil. Any shave soap or cream I've tried with those ingredients have been outstanding

Good observation Ryan, Stearic acid is Traditionally used as a thickening agent in soaps,a colorless, odorless, waxlike fatty acid, , occurring in animals and vegetable fats and used in making soaps, candles, lubricants, and other products.

Its the main ingredient listed for Martin DE Candre, it does also contain glycerin, fragrance, coconut acid, water, and potassium hydroxide.

Interestingly what we know as tallow today contains 30% stearic acid.

Neither...but it's amazing for sure. I've had mine for about a year and it's stunning stuff. Also recommend checking out LA Shavings soaps...they used MdC ingredients and reverse engineered them to figure out the soap. Their fougure scent (or however you spell it) is amazing!

Dip the brush , shake out until mostly dry.
I count to 20 while swirling the brush about 40 times in that period. lather and add a splash of water to the bowl. Done.
