Hmmmm. I can see that potentially being a problem. I find that small containers make the lathering process difficult. In fact, some of the glycerine soaps that I have were recently melted into cappucino mugs so I can have plenty of space to work up a lather. In the case of MDC, the soap is filled right to the rim. Too much water and its running all down the sides and such. But with a small jar, I can see that being even more of a problem. I like BanjoTom's idea since when I first opened my jar, there was a small amount of soap stuck tot he lid. I scraped it away and put it in my scuttle. When I began working it up, it just exploded with the richest lather you could imagine. The soap that I scraped away blended right in. Give that a try on your next run.

The light green label is the "fern" scent, and the tan label is the "original" scent. Both are fantastic.

I agree with U2u. And this soap lasts!!! It takes just a tiny amount worked into a brush for a suds explosion. Great stuff for sure. ;-)

Are you sure it's MdC (Martin de Candre) you're using? It's probably one of the easiest soaps I've ever dealt with as far as getting it to lather and how little is needed.

+1. My brush just looks at this soap and it starts to lather itself!!
