Thanked: 4Interestingly, I tried both the Almond and the Green Fairy versions, with very different results: the foam and slickness of the Almond were unimpressive with our hard tap water, while the Green Fairy provides a slick and lasting lather. Since I am a sucker for anise products, the absinthe-scented Green Fairy turned out a winner.
I would not mind giving the Sardinian Honey a try either.

funny this thread was brought up again, as just this morning I really turned out some great lather with my Lilly of the Valley MW soap.
For the longest time I had trouble getting the lather to build up thick enough to last throughout the shave. I went off the assumption (from some forum post I had read) that this particular soap was scared of water, and that the smallest amount was all that was needed to get a good final product.
This morning I was so tired of fidgeting with it, that I loaded the brush, then dunked it heavily in water, and went back to the soap dish to continue loading. My thought was to let the amount of product being loaded be the variable, and not the amount of water. Worked like a charm.
