Joe.....Mom said, "He's gettin a bit Randy isn't he! I about fell out,

and I need some advise and a brainstorm. I have always wrapped my baskets in Tulle (shiny, scratchy net looking stuff) but I'm not sure that's the way to go to wrap a Man's Basket.....

All of my baskets thus far have been for women, or a small gift included for the Man, but easily the baskets would be 90% geared to the woman. I have attached a few photographs so you can see what a typical basket looks like wrapped, and then another photo of the small chest I found.

This is a problem, I've not had to think about before......so look at the pictures and see what you think. The basket leaving here tomorrow is 90% Husband and 10% Wife.

LOL....Whoops! As men do you mind the look of the tulle......??

And now for the advise....I decided that used Cigar boxes would make really nice containers for a Man's Gift Basket ( thinking ahead to Christmas ) So I looked around some on the internet and found a few nice ones, and some nice sets....some premium boxes mixed in with mostly paper, but some of those were really nice too. Cost varies.....10 boxes for $19.95, 25 boxes for $25.00 (but would probably only use half) Ebay has some great boxes, but they charge a freakin arm AND one leg for the shipping!

So low and behold, whilst surfing around looking for cigar boxes, I found a cigar forum..... where a gent was selling off some of his empty boxes. So I thought about it for a few days and then I joined the cigar forum...LMAO.

I introduced myself, stated my case (Shaving soap maker) mostly asking for permission to put in a request "to list for empty cigar boxes in their trade section". I've learned so much since I've been hangin out with y'all ...chuckle.

    WoW!......They're a right friendly bunch!

and a few have sent me PM's saying they have empty cigar boxes....and one fella said he was jaaa-st getting ready to list all of his boxes on Ebay, but he'd hang on to them until I got back to him.

Now this is a totally girl question, and yes.....I'm trying to get to the point.

I'm not very good at trading you see. I don't know what to offer for a cigar box ? Be it one or ten....should I let them name a price first? I don't know what to do.....I've gotten meself in a wee bit of a mess....ya see.

So does anybody have any advise for me???

Men are not wrapping people. My wife will always wrap gifts in nice paper, put on ribbon and a bow. With me sometimes it's still in the bag.. Hey remember its the gift that counts not the wrapping.

I think I know what to do I'll post a picture when it's done.

Any comments on Cigar boxes, what's a box worth....however much I'll pay for one ?? Which is probably the right answer....LOL. I'm just not very good at this kinda thing, the men in our Family have always handled trading.

I'm going to ask you some questions later this coming weekend in regards, to the Aftershaves.....we're gonna have a TEST ...so get ready

My only referrence for this is I walked into a cigar shop here in NYC and asked if they had any empty boxes they said sure, upstairs, they cost $4.00. I said thank you and left.

Shoot! I'da left too...Ok, I'm gonna shoot for $1.00 for paper and $3.00 for premium, wish me luck....I'm thinking I might try to "slip" in some shaving soap for trade too.

    Thanks Pointman!

I wouldn't go that high to start out. offer $2.00(premium) and a soap for every 5 boxes. Nothing for paper....
