Wow!!!!!!! Just when I am starting to feel sorry for myself I see that someone else has a tougher situation. Well as you said hang in there, we are all in your corner. We will keep you in our prayers.

    Good Morning,

Yep, just a little hard to know what to say after that post aye! ..... In the course of the past year and a half the insanity of this house has just about cost me my business. I could just go and on, but I won't

I wish that the meeting with the lawyer was "yesterday" but hurry up and wait will do just fine. I suppose Monday will be here soon enough. West Virginia has "equitible property division laws" so even though I purchased this house in 97 ....and I was married in late 2001, and only my name is on the title deed.....doesn't matter....and I suppose he can claim half of my business too......Geez, I will NEV-errrrrr get married again. This is my first and last......

I've had plenty of time to lay out my plans for moving the business back over here, but due to financial constraints and the obvious problems of what it is like to live in the same house with someone who is suffering from addiction, mental health issues and physical problems to boot......well, it just creates havoc......and delays.

There's roughly the same amount of floor space in the basement here in my house as there is in the little house next door....it will need some work to get it lined out, but I'm excited about it......it's sorda like my one little thing to look forward to. I'm guessing that all the above ....will probably take me the course of the summer to pull my life back together.

But after that I have every intention of continuing on with the AS......afterall I've got $500.00 dollars worth of imported Italian bottles sitting here waiting to be filled with the best damn AS Balm/Emulsion to hit the market in a decade....LOL....at least that's "my attitude" ....don't worry....I still have "my sass"

Well.....so what's everybody doing for the summer ? Quite frankly I'd like to hear about somebody else, rather than me....

    XXWarm Regards, Colleen

Well let me be the first....as always

Well my son is finishing up 8th grade this week and will be starting high school next year. Throghout grade school he has received good grades mostly B's. However if over 8 years he has studied more than 20 hours I would be amazed. Well now with high school around the corner and I have 2.5 months to try and convince him the need to study. He can be a real meathead at times. Well that will be my summer.

My summer will mostly involve getting the computer lab at school ready for next semester. We have an equipment room with all sorts of electronic goodies the students can check out, and it badly needs reprganizing. Furhtermore, our department's server crashed (we're holding a wake for it at McSorley's) and with it went our checkout system and inventory list. This means we have to a) re-inventory every piece of equipment in the lab and b) code a new checkout system. The old system was kind of lame anyway, and it'll be good programming experience to do a real-world php project like this. Plus it means we get more hours to work

Aside from that I might be interning with a small multimedia/web design firm called Cloud Red. I'm supposed to know soon if the projects they have lined up get the green light or not. If so, then I'll be able to intern with them. This will involve working with zoom interfaces, a cool area in which some exciting research is being done.

I'm gonna read. A lot. I can't describe how good it feels to read for pleasure and not for class without a touch of guilt. With access to the libraries and the New School, NYU and Cooper Union, I figure I can keep myself occupied.

New York is full of hella sweet museums and I can get into most of them either for free or for cheap with my student ID. So far I've only been to MoMA, I need to hit up the rest. There's a friend of mine from out of town coming to visit so when she's here it'll be a good excuse.

Other potential summer projects: build a new portfolio website, improve my mandolin skills, practice honing, learn to illustrate with scratchboard, design some postage stamps (for fun), learn a few computer languages, continue work on some fonts I'm developing, and of course lovely AS labels.

Sorry I've been away. My daughter and s-n-l brought my granddaughter, Harper up for her first visit last week. Here is a pic of my son Chase holding her:

And a pic of Chase with my summer work hat:

    Notice the clean shave!
My folks came up from Texas on the 27th of June so I've been working and entertaining and working on entertaining. Too much happening for computer time.

Randy Taylor ......Holy Cow! I do indeed see that you've been busy with a growing family. Harper is growing like a weed and I love the picture with Chase and your Fedora.

I hired a childhood friend to do the remodeling in the basement, I still think it will be the end of July before it's finished but it's going to be a very workable environment....better than I had hoped for. My aging Parents and a few of my cousins will help me move things back over here, so that should take place right at the end of July....with nary a break in orders.

I have to write to the web people today to see what's going on there. Haven't heard from them in a week.... They're probably on vacation...

I've been very busy with filling my orders to the Tamarack, and learning how to operate my Quickbooks Manufacturing software. Of course the accountant said, " all you needed was the regular Quickbooks" ....but my StepFather had purchased this for me, and it really is such a nice program, but more complicated to learn.

Orders for TGQ are nice and steady.....just humming along. Now if I can just get my personal life straightened out, I'll be good to go.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Summer, I know time is passing to quickly. I was at the crafts store yesterday and noted that all Fall decorations are out, and they were putting out Christmas decorations. Tis the Season.......less than 6 months to Christmas, hardly seems possible.

    XXWarm Regards, Colleen

    Hey all!

I know I've been scarce around here...the friendly neighborhood server tells me that my last log in was on my 16th wedding anniversary, May 23d. Anyway, I've taken a couple of weeks off of work to get some chores taken care of around the house...and then got talked into building a tree house for my ten-year-old daughter. I'll try to post a pic or two when it's finished. I also celebrated my 46th birthday yesterday. Had a very relaxing day and marked a milestone of sorts...in three generations on either side of my family, I'm now one of only two males to survive the age of 45. Now I get to work toward the methusela award in my family...the longest lived male got to the ripe old age of 62! I think I'll go at it the way George Burns did. When asked his secret to living to 100, he said "smoke like a chimney, drink like a fish, and party to excess until you're 99...then be very, very careful".

Hope everyone is having a great summer,
    Ed

    Hi All,

I have been busy looking for a new job. I couldn't stand my boss much longer. Well I found one last week now I have to tell the people here I am leaving and giving them 2 weeks notice. **** is going to fly as they have lost 4 people already in the last 4 weeks. I feel funny about it but I hate it here so much I just had to go. I will keep you updated.

Ok I am at my last week at C&W. I will start at my new job on Monday looking forward to it.
I have noticed something about our samples of AS. They have darkened over time, I want to check but I think they have blended better. I will check and keep all updated.
