Thank for your professional opinion on a product that may otherwise have been overlooked. IMO great shaving began where the can of cream/gel ended- personally I'm not looking back! Like Ryan said there's too many high quality traditional products out there that will give you great results and the full shaving experience that most of us re so passionate about!!!!

I wish I could say that this has been my experience too but my skin is so sensitive I can't tolerate most other creams, soaps etc. I figure if my face can take it it must be heaven for someone who can tolerate anything!

Please excuse my ignorance, for I'm no Dr... However if you take a cream and put it in a container and pressurize said container with a propellant, won't the propellant infuse itself into the cream in time? I infuse oils and liquids all the time and I can't imagine how this would be any different, especially under pressure. Then again like I said, I'm no Dr.

I'm not a doctor or chemist, but I do play both on T.V.

Yes, that's exactly what happens, which causes the dryness I was eluding to above.

Yes but once the product reaches atmospheric pressure the volatile gasses leave the product. What's more, the propellants are not organic solvents and therefore should not dissolve the free fatty acids, triglycerides and cholesterols naturally found in the sebum that is secreted onto the skin by your sebaceous glands.

I ordered up some Proraso Red formula and tried it this am - it's comparable to the Aveeno! I also ordered some Mitchell's shaving soap but haven't tried it yet.

The point I'm trying to make is that just because a product comes in a can doesn't mean it's bad. I feel like I'm posting about the latest Ferrari on a classic car forum and no one wants to hear about it because they're all stuck in the past.
