    Default Truefitt & Hill Sold?

Hello, first post here at SRP, thanks for having me.

I was recently on the hunt for some Truefitt & Hill Shaving Cream, a great men's grooming store called Momentum closed unexpectedly earlier this year and I was left without a place to purchase this fantastic product. Thankfully I found a place downtown that carries Truefitt & Hill products, not the whole range mind you but they had a selection of various creams and after shaves that I could use with pride.

While trying to decide on which bowl of shaving cream to purchase I was discussing with the owner how difficult it was finding Truefitt & Hill and that it is widely unavailable in large cities that I have visited in North America and Europe. The owner began to tell me that Truefitt & Hill has been sold to a mens grooming outfit which sells franchise locations throughout the US and they do not have any solid plans for the product line as of yet. Sounds a little goofy in hindsight but panic set in. In anticipation and fear of not being able to source out any more of the only shaving cream that I have used I bought 1 bowl each of Almond, 1805 and Trafalgar shaving creams. I must have made the owner very happy which is fine by me, just wondering if there is any scuttlebut regarding Truefitt & Hill.

    Thanks,

    Robert

    Welcome to SRP.

I did a quick Google search and couldn't find any news about this so if it's true it's probably being kept on the down-low.

T&H makes fantastic products and are among my all-time favourites. If this turns out to be more than a rumour I'll have to head down to my local supplier and stock up

    Gents:

You can call Don or Lynn and I'm 100% positive they will have more info about that. I will call them and I will post later. Just to inform. They are my true source.

    thanks

Same here Ryan, I couldn't find any information on the web either but that doesn't mean that something isn't in the works. I would imagine the parties involved would likely keep it on the lowdown.

Looking forward to hearing back from you Kenneth.

    Thanks,

    Robert

    Gents:

I called Lynn and he basically told me the same thing that we know. We understand that even thou the brand has been sold the products are available without any signal of disco or something similar. I do understand that their was some stores that close, I do say that because I can get into they web sites like in the past, if someone know something different feel free to share it. But the product will still available. If I hear something more I will let you know guys.

    Happy shave and holidays.

    Thanks
    Kenneth

A lot of people have told me about Momentum and I never went there, now it's closed...
I have to say I was never into straight razors before so I had no idea about them. The only other place that I've found is Revolucion in Yaletown but I'm not sure if they have T&H

    Hi Eco,

I found Trufitt and Hill at the "Perfume Shoppe" 757 West Hastings (Sinclair Center), the owner is very nice. The Momentum store closure was very sudden and without warning. There was a fellow named Warren who gave straight razor shaves with T&H only at it was fantastic, I recall an email that I received from him advising of his move from Momentum to a new shop after the closure. I'll see if I can dig up his contact info.

    **EDIT**

Here is a page I found related to straight razor shave places in Vancouver, you may find some that carry T&H.

Hey guys! I just started carrying TandH at my shop. I'm not going to carry a full line until I get it introduced to people. From all the talks I have had with the rep on the phone, the products will be available and she said they are opening a new T H store in New York. From talking to her, I understand that they are looking for people to franchise. I love their products. I just hope people in my area will too. If ever in Elizabethtown, Ky and need TH ...let me know!
