Thanked: 4Cold weather shave creamor soap?
As mentioned in another post, I will be spending 3 weeks ina field enviroment for military training. That means most likely not hot water... and its in NJ so its going to be cold, any recomendations on anything I can use to help save my face? I will be using disposable razors during this event... thanks in advance!

Claim a skin condition and don't shave?!?
Seriously, I'd use a cream. Most I've used apply and lather more easily on your face and are gentler, but it really is a matter of personal taste. You can even get them in a tube, which makes storage and packing easier.

That's what they make fire for. Canteen cup, water, fire and lather up. Back in the day I also had the choice of a helmet but those days are gone. I guess it depends on the type and length of training you'll be doing. I preferred multi blades.

Well I hear the Marines are looking for a few good men! And I thought the Army had all the fancy stuff, lol.
Seriously cream should be easier but soap was about the best I could count on back then. You might look into a shave stick as well as cream in a tube. Both easy to carry and will beat the heck out of soap.

I'd go with Creamo or Kiss My Face. Both are good in the conditions you will be facing, or should be. They lather well.

I have shaved with cold water a ton oh times. Warm is nice - no question. But its not a mandate, and cold is just fine.
I'll say this - don't give up completely, don't use a disposable brother. Get yourself a nice safety razor! If for no other reason than it will not gum-up as bad as a 4 blade.
As for creams - I would use a nice almond or sandalwood. They shave "hot" with cold water. For me anyway - I have no idea why - must be the scent.
Were I to recommend an almond, I would go with Acca Kappa's 1869. I recommend the Art of Shaving were you to pick sandalwood. Of the two, I would go with the almond and the Acca Kappa.
Good luck with your training!! Seriously, get the safety razor. .David
